How Being Organised Can Change Your Life

Last week I caught up with a number of other Professional Organisers in Auckland – it was the first time we have successfully managed to meet face to face. It got me thinking about my own personal ‘organising’ journey and how much ‘being organised’ has changed, enhanced and enriched my life.

Those that have known me for a long time will tell you I haven’t always been super organised. Although I have a passion for clean and tidy spaces, this didn’t necessarily mean I was organised. But over the years I have learnt how valuable being organised is and now I am the ultimate advocate for not only organising spaces but having sound systems in place to help you organise time.

I truly believe that being organised has changed my life for the better and that organisation can do the same for anyone. As a result of being organised I find I have:

LESS STRESS – being organised means I have a plan, a to-do list, and with a place for everything and everything in its place. I have easy access to all I need when I need it resulting in LESS STRESS.

MORE TIME – less time looking for things (see above) and not being distracted by clutter makes me more productive resulting in MORE TIME for the really important stuff (developing fulfilling relationships with family and friends and achieving my personal goals). I also have more time for ME and the things I love to do which makes me happy and gives me balance.

Being more productive = getting more done = MORE TIME.

CONTROL – who wouldn’t feel GREAT knowing you are in control of your life and able to fulfill your potential!

SELF-CONFIDENCE – because I’m more efficient, productive, achieving my goals and have fulfilling relationships, of course my self-confidence soars.

Being organised, I can personally attest, will have a positive impact on virtually all areas of your life – family, career, your sense of wellbeing, and ultimately, your overall happiness. And isn’t that what we are all striving for? So, what are you waiting for – get organised – you will never look back!
